An independent family owned lock manufacturer since 1780. Henry Squire & Sons Ltd place great importance on developing products that meet the security needs of today and the future. The company directs significant resources on research & development to enable it to remain at the forefront of the security market and ensure its independence for another 200 years.

In the early 1800s, Squire supplied locks to the British Army in the Napoleonic Wars. This led them to develop the first lever padlocks. Before long they were supplying locks to companies across the British Empire. In 1960, global demand for their locks reached such a level that they decided to invest in a new warehouse to keep up with the orders, and their team soon grew to 350.

Today they are the world’s most experienced lock maker. Their incredible knowledge and history has been passed down through eight generations to its current owner, John Squire. Today he continues the family tradition of making world-renowned locks.
